Arvin-Kayaba has started Brazilian shock absorber production in its new $US10
million plant in Fazenda Grande, Paraná state.

Initial production is for the locally-made Renault Scénic, replacing
components previously imported from Spain.

The company will also supply shock absorbers for Mitsubishi’s ‘baby
Shogun’, the Pajero iO, and the new Toyota Corolla which will both be made
in Brazil from next year.

The new Arvin-Kayaba plant will produce a million shock absorbers per year for
sale to OEMs and the aftermarket.
