The company will ship the vehicles to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

The Sprinter has been produced since 1996 in the Juan Manuel Fangio plant in
González Catán, Buenos Aires. But until now it has only been built
with left hand drive.

DaimlerChrysler invested $US10 million in RHD production and expects to start
shipments at the end of the year. The company plans to export about 5,000 RHD
Sprinters in 2002.

The DaimlerChrysler move comes about six months after Ford Brazil began building
RHD F-series trucks for Australia and New Zealand.
