The aim of the FlexHyBat research project, which started at the end of 2020, is to manufacture multi-variant vehicle floor assemblies using as few tools as possible.
Project partners include data M Sheet Metal Solutions, Cloos, Bilstein, Protomaster und Fraunhofer IWU, which are working together to find a way of combining new steel types and manufacturing processes for flexible and economical manufacturing processes.
As the lead initiator, Edag is responsible for the development and design of the multi-variant floor assembly and technical demonstrator in cooperation with its partners.
The FlexHyBat research project has the backing of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs & Energy and is being supervised by TÜV Rheinland Consulting, the project sponsor.
