Eberspaecher has opened a new plant for exhaust technology in Ramos Arizpe, close to Saltillo in Mexico.
Eberspaecher will produce complete emission control systems as well as components such as particulate filters and catalytic converters for passenger cars and commercial vehicles at its new site.
“Demand for Eberspaecher’s emission control systems is strong worldwide,” said Eberspaecher Exhaust Technology Division COO, Thomas Waldhier.
“The new Mexican plant strengthens our North American production network. It enables us to supply customers directly and quickly on site.”
The production facility is located in the immediate vicinity of international car manufacturers, while Saltillo borders the Pan-American Highway.
Around 300 employees are already working at the plant and staff will increase to about 500 by mid-2021.
