Datsun is expanding its footprint in Africa with the launch of the Datsun lineup in Zimbabwe: the Datsun GO, Datsun GO+ and the Datsun GO+ panel van.

“These are exciting times for Datsun and we are very proud and privileged to expand the brand beyond South African borders,” said Datsun brand in South Africa, general manager, Des Fenner.

“Datsun has always been committed to providing cars that are reliable and attractive, and we are pleased to be able to provide this offering to consumers in Zimbabwe.”

The introduction to Zimbabwe is part of Datsun’s expansion strategy. Datsun already sells cars in other sub-Saharan markets such as Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mauritius, in addition to South Africa, where the brand was reintroduced in 2014.

In Zimbabwe, Datsun models will be available at five dealerships in two major cities, Harare and Bulawayo.

“The Datsun GO+ panel van also represents an attractive offer for small to midsized business owners to sustainably grow their business,” added a Datsun statement.
