Automobile Dacia booked record turnover of over EUR 4.3bn last year, up 1.76% year on year, as net profit rose 20% to almost EUR100m.
Car sales outside its native Romania, though down 2%, accounted for most sales, up 0.45% to EUR 2.3bn while domestic sales rose 25%, according to romania-insider.com.

The automaker built 339,233 cars last year. The most popular was the Duster II, 169,500 units, followed by Logan II, Logan MCV II, Sandero Stepway, Sandero II, and Duster.
Of total sales of 339,179 units, the Duster accounted for 50.2%.
The company also produced over 1m CKD (complete knock-down) kits which exported for assembly in parent Renault's group factories. CKD sales dipped 3.4% to EUR 1.36bn.
Components and spare part sales rose by more than a third to EUR460m.
Dacia has given Renault Brazil a unique model to pitch against the Fiat Strada, VW Saveiro and Chevy Montana small trucks sold in that market. The Dacia based, Renault branded Oroch shook the market up last year by offering an even more practical passenger/cargo model with four doors, giving the three-door Strada a heavyweight rival with a useful 683-litre/31.2-cu ft cargo box.
