“Our goal has been to find a location at the centre of the automotive sector in central Europe,” Maier Cooperative head of international sales Josu Ozerin said in a statement cited by Dow Jones Newswires.

Maier Cooperative specializes in plastic car parts such as hubcaps, and supplies major car makers, including Volkswagen, Renault, Peugeot, Toyota and others.

Dow Jones said the company is planning to invest over 300m koruna at its Czech plant in the city of Prostejov, 120 miles (250 kilometres) east of Prague, and a few hours drive from several major car plants.

“From our Prostejov plant we will be able to supply efficiently our clients not only in the Czech Republic, but also in Poland and Slovakia,” Ozerin reportedly said.
