Volkswagen’s Czech unit Skoda Auto plans additional shifts building three models in the second quarter, making up for some production lost in February due to low demand, the carmaker’s union said on Thursday.

According to Reuters, A union paper cited Skoda union official Libor Dvorak as saying there should be three more shifts on the Roomster line, and an additional three shifts were planned for both the Yeti crossover and range-topping Superb which is sold as a hatchback/sedan and a wagon.

The carmaker cut shifts for smaller models, including the Roomster, in the first quarter because demand dropped with the end of scrappage subsidies in its main export market, Germany. Since March, Skoda has also cut daily production of its best-selling Octavia by around a quarter.

Skoda sold a record 684,226 cars last year, helped by car-scrapping schemes and expansion in China.
