Škoda says it will be increasing the production capacity for the DQ 200 dual-clutch transmission made at the Skoda plant in Vrchlabí.
Production will rise from 1,500 to 2,000 DQ 200 gearboxes per day over the next twelve months.KODA continues to develop their production of powertrains. The carmaker will be investing around EUR25m for the expansion in addition to creating up to 200 new jobs.

Gearbox production forms a key part of Skoda’s component manufacturing in the Czech Republic and the Vrchlabí plant produced the 500,000th DQ 200 dual-clutch transmission in November.
The DQ 200 is used in VW Group brands Volkswagen, Seat and Audi, as well as Skoda. To facilitate DSG production, the Czech manufacturer invested around 210 million euros with the support of Volkswagen.
Škoda additionally produces the MQ 200 and MQ/SQ 100 gearboxes in Mladá Boleslav.
