The production of passenger and light utility cars fell to 205,281 units in the first quarter of the year, the Association of Automotive Industries said.


Skoda saw its output halved to 98,036 cars in the period, as export demand slumped.


However, Toyota-Peugeot-Citroen (TPCA) produced 87,244 cars in the first quarter against 86,800 units 12 months ago as demand for small cars picked up across Europe.
