The 300,000th vehicle was an 1.6-litre i30cw with new six-speed manual transmission also built at Nošovice. Hyundai said the i30 and i30cw, upgraded last year, saw sales increase 23% during the first 11 months of 2010.
The B-segment ix20 MPV was launched at the Paris motor show last year and Hyundai forecast sales of 55,000 units a year.
Hyundai Europe chief Allan Rushforth said in a statement: “We are very proud to have such a successful manufacturing base in Europe. As we continue to grow market share in 2011, we will be increasing production levels at the plant.”
