From January to October, Toyota’s sales in China totalled 551,769 units, up 16 percent from the same period last year.

The sales growth was partly due to successful launch of new models and a series of promotions this year, but the firm is also benefiting from the government’s stimulus package which has reduced taxes on cars.

Other vehicle manufacturers have also reported a sharp uptick in China sales this year.
