Although details are still to be finalised, current plans are for an investment of RMB4bn and annual production capacity of 100,000 units of the Toyota Corolla.
Two existing plants operated by the same joint venture produce Toyota Coaster trucks, some Landcruiser models and the Prius hybrid.
