The first SinterCast System 2000 process control system will be installed at the Dashiang foundry during early-2006 and initial series production of exhaust manifolds will begin upon completion of the installation.
The new capability will enable Mei Ta, which claims to be the Chinese market leader of production and export of passenger vehicle exhaust manifolds and turbocharger housings, to extend its current range and to become the first Chinese foundry to supply high quality CGI components to the global automotive industry.
Mei Ta group currently exports exhaust manifolds, turbocharger housings and other components to OEMs and Tier I suppliers in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
