Mercedes-Benz retail car sales in northeast Asia rose 23.77% year-on-year in the first seven months of this year, the automaker told a news agency.

Mercedes sold 22,038 units between January and July, compared with 17,805 a year earlier in its northeast Asian region which comprises mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and South Korea, Reuters said.
Sales rose 30% to 15,830 units in mainland China and Hong Kong during the period, with sales of Mercedes S-Class up 53% to more than 5,800 units, the report added.
In the first six months, Mercedes-Benz sold 13,560 cars in China, up 28% from a year earlier, with sales in the region up 21% to 18,766 units, Reuters said.
