Mazda said on Friday it has temporarily suspended production of the Mazda3 in China because of a flaw in the process to obtain government approval to produce the model, according to Reuters.

Production at the plant in Chongqing, was suspended on April 7th, having only started on February 27th.


It is unclear when production will resume, but sales of the car have reportedly not yet been affected.
