Mazda sales by its Chinese joint ventures reached a record 14,418 vehicles last month, up 42% year on year.
January to August sales rose 27% to 106,301 units.
The Ford affiliate has a manufacturing joint venture with the US firm and Chongqinq Changan Automobile called Changan Ford Mazda Automobile and a sales venture called FAW Mazda Motor Sales.
