Nissan wants to increase its Infiniti luxury vehicle dealerships in China by more than 50% to 90 sites this year, mostly in coastal cities.

The Nikkei reported the target is to have 128 by 2015; at the start of last year it had only 25.

Sales last year were 19,000 and the target is to reach 100,000 by 2016.

The ambitious targets follows the switch of Infiniti product planning as well as sales and marketing to Hong Kong last month. Infiniti production is scheduled to start in China in 2014.
