International Automotive Components (IAC) has opened its Asian headquarters in Shanghai.
As well as a technical centre, the new 30,000sq ft headquarters will host many of IAC’s Asian operations including commercial and administrative activities plus global and domestic design/engineering, procurement, and manufacturing management.

When IAC was established in 2006, the company had two plants and a technical centre supporting the Asia market. Today, it has 20 plants and six technical centres established throughout Asia, with the opening of the Shanghai headquarters marking IAC’s 12th facility in China. The building currently employs approximately 115 in engineering, administrative and sales roles with projections to eventually employ 150.
Brian Pour, vice president, North Asia, will continue to head the company’s North Asia business and operations from the new Shanghai headquarters. Pour joined IAC as vice president of engineering for Asia at the company’s inception and has nearly 20 years of automotive interiors experience. Gajanan Gandhe serves as vice president of South Asia and is based at the company’s new Chakan, India Manufacturing, Design and Technical Centre, which was inaugurated in March.
