Production at two Honda car manufacturing plants in Guangzhou, China, suspended due to a strike at a local exhaust supplier, will resume operations on Friday, the automaker said.
Parts production restarted on Thursday after a wage settlement was agreed with workers on Wednesday, Honda added.

The exhaust plant is majority owned by Yutaka Giken. The strike was the third in four weeks to affect Honda China operations. The others affected lock and transmission supply.
Though there appears to be a spate of industrial unrest in China at the moment, industry commentators have said it is not uncommon due to a lack of wage mediation mechanisms in factories themselves and generally occurs in waves.
