Chinese wholesale auto sales increased significantly by 30% during the first half of the year to 7.18m units, although numbers fell 5.25% in June say Chinese media reports.
Data from the China Automotive Technology & Researcher Centre (CATRC) show sales dropping for three months from April, after attaining a high of 1.7m units in March, said the media reports.

Nonetheless, production surged 44% to reach 8.47m units in the first six months of this year, although June volume fell 1.41% to 1.29m.
CATRC director Zhao Hang, said the automobile inventory cycle increased to 55 days in June, from 41 days in February.
“This was a negative for auto makers and dealers,” Chinese media quote Hang as saying.
“Even as auto inventory remains within normal levels, it has reached the upper limit of a reasonable stockpile, and this should arouse the attention of domestic auto makers.”
