The 1.3-litre car, based on the Fit/Jazz hatchback, will be launched on to the market September 28, with a priced price tag of 99,800-109,800 yuan (USD12,055-13,260).
Guangzhou Honda, which until now has only made the Accord and Odyssey, expects to turn out about 16,000 Fit sedans by the end of this year.
Earlier this year Honda said that it plans to produce 70,000 Accords — up from 45,000 units in 2002 — 20,000 Odysseys and 20,000 Fits at the Guangzhou plant in China.
