This brought Geely’s sales for the first nine months of 2009 to 217,334 units, up 42% year on year, it said in a statement.
Geely aims to sell 250,000 cars this year and the nine-month result was about 87% of target, Reuters noted.
Total sales exceeded management expectations and the strong domestic sales momentum continued in early October, a spokesman said.
Signs of recovery were seen in group export sales. Geely exported 2,612 cars in September, the highest level since the outbreak of the global financial market crisis in October last year, the spokesman added.
