May output of heavy-duty trucks (including incomplete vehicles – or kits) reached 36,800 units, down 11.4% year-on-year. Sales totalled 41,200 units in May, 11.6% off last year’s pace.
Analysts say the figures are indicative of continuing tough times in China’s manufacturing sector, which continues to be hit by the global economic downturn this year.
