Frank Deiss is to replace Guenter Butschek as president and CEO of Beijing Benz Automotive Co (BBAC) from March this year.
Deiss is currently currently head of procurement for Mercedes-Benz Cars and Vans.

Butschek is leaving his post to join Airbus as head of operations.
Ulrich Walker, chairman and CEO of Daimler Northeast Asia, said: “Under Butschek’s [six years of] management, we started production of C- and E-Class cars here in China. Guenter Butschek successfully and continuously increased capacity, productivity and flexibility of the plant.”
Deiss (47), has been responsible for the global procurement of production material for car and van divisions since July 2005. He started his career with Daimler-Benz as a student of business administration in 1984. Since 1994, after various assignments in the group, he has taken over leading functions with increasing responsibilities in procurement and development.
