Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co Ltd, Ford Motor Co’s new joint venture engine production facility in Nanjing, has officially started production, Ford Motor said in a statement.

The new venture, which has an annual capacity of 350,000 units, will supply products for Ford and Mazda vehicles built in China.
Ford and affiliated brands sold 167,000 units last year in mainland China, an 86% increase from 2005, and the company said it has already sold 43,000 units in the country in the first quarter.
