According to Global Times, they will construct factories across the manufacturing base of Geely Group, in cities Zhejiang, Shandong, Gansu, Hunan, Sichuan and Shanghai, to design, develop and produce components such as instrument panels, auxiliary fascia consoles, door panels, pillars and injection-moulded bumpers for the corporation’s brands.

Zhejiang Limin has supplied Geely for several years. Faurecia will now work with Zhejiang Limin to supply the automaker.

According to the trilateral cooperation agreement, joint venture will introduce world-leading production facilities and workmanship to China.

The combination will lift the quality of Geely’s components and parts to the same level of international brands, and greatly shorten the investment cycle of international suppliers.

Chi Youzhang, chairman of Zhejiang Limin, said: “We have great responsibilities as a key supplier of Geely, especially when Geely is on the way up. It is not only our responsibility but also driving force to provide the most innovative and promising automaker with qualitative interior and external decoration and components. That is why we choose Geely and Faurecia as our partners.”
