The company, China’s third largest vehicle producer, saw sales jump 73% to 120,608. Passenger car sales also rose 73% to 88,357 units.
But the company actually lagged the overall market.
Earlier this month it was reported that there was a huge rise in passenger car sales in China in August.
Sales of 858,300 units were 90.18% up from the 451,300 sold a year earlier, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said.
Donfeng’s commercial vehicle sales reached 32,251 units, up 33.4%.
For the first eight months, the company reported sales of 635,380 units of passenger cars, a growth of 34.6%. Commercial vehicle sales in the same period reached 221,346, down nearly 14%.
