CHINA: Dongfeng Peugeot targets 400,000 annual sales by 2010
Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co., the 50:50 joint venture between PSA and Dongfeng Motor, has set a 2010 sales target of more than 400,000 cars, up from 140,000 last year, according to Dow Jones.

This compares with sales of 140,000 units in 2005, and 100,173 units in the first six month of the year.
Production to the end of June was 105,334 units, up 64% compared to a year earlier.
At the beginning of this year, the joint venture set a 2006 production and sales target of more than 200,000 units and a cost-cutting target of a billion yuan.
The company said in a statement that it plans to launch nine new models in China between 2006 and 2009.
