Dana Holding has commenced construction of a new axle plant it coinvested with Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle, a unit of China’s Dongfeng Automobile Group.
The official Xinhua news agency said the new plant, located in Xiangyang city, Central China’s Hubei province, involves an initial spend of over CNY500m and is expected to replace the company’s existing plant in the city after coming on stream in 2015.
