DaimlerChrysler on Thursday said it sold 13% more cars in northeast Asia in the first quarter than a year earlier, according to a news agency report.


The automaker sold 12,861 cars in the first three-months of 2007 compared with 11,390 a year earlier, it said in a statement cited by Reuters.


DaimlerChrysler’s northeast Asian region comprises mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and South Korea, the report said.
