CHINA: Car parts imports to breach $US10 billion barrier in 2003 – report
China's Department of Import and Export of Electromechanical Products under the Ministry of Commerce has announced an estimate that China will import over $US10 billion worth of automobile parts in 2003 - the first time the figure has surpassed the $10 billion mark, Access Asia reported.

Between January and July this year, imports of automobile parts, and spare parts totalled $8.189 billion, an increase of 109.2% over the same period in 2002.
