Bridgestone plans to expand its factory in Wuxi city, east China’s Jiangsu province, to accommodate rising domestic demand, according to auto.gasgoo.com.
According to the plan, the expansion will cost CNY852m.
Upon completion, the tyre plant will have a daily production capacity of 5,300 passenger car radial tyres. Its overall output capacity will reach 22,600 units a day.
The Wuxi plant began operation in July 2004 and currently has 1,267 employees.
