BMW Chinese JV partner Brilliance China Automotive Holdings has told shareholders it expects to book a net profit for full year 2010 after a net loss in 2009.

Reason? A “significant increase” in the BMW Brilliance sales volume and the axing of its Zhonghua sedan business.

The automaker said it sold more BMWs in the second half of 2010 than the first half and product mix was “more favourable”.

Its model line includes a long wheelbase 5 series developed specially for China’s chauffeur-drive market.
