Audi plans to more than double its range in China over the next five years according to the China Daily, citing Johannes Thammer, the brand’s sales chief in the country.

Thammer said the company will have 35 domestic or imported models in China by 2015, up from 16 currently, by which time the company also plans to sell 250,000 cars year by 2015.
Separately, media reports in the country say Volvo, now owned by Zhejiang Geely, has not taken a final decision on the location of a manufacturing plant in the country. This follows a statement by the Shanghai district government on its website that Geely plans to construct a Volvo production plant along with two other Volvo offices in the city.
The report said the plant is likely to commence operations in 2012 and will produce the C30 and V70 models.
