The new S65 AMG melds the luxury of the top Mercedes-Benz four-door sedan with the power of AMG’s six-litre twin-turbo V12 engine, which produces 604 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, for 0-60mph test track times of about 4.2 seconds.
The front brakes have high-performance eight-piston calipers and compound brake rotors. Staggered-size twin-spoke wheels carry high- performance tyres – 245/40 ZR 19 in front and 275/35 ZR 19 at the rear. The new sedan is equipped with ABC active suspension that uses special spring struts with firmer damping.
An AMG front apron with a large air intake and integral fog lights gives the vehicle a distinctive appearance. The side is enhanced by side skirts, which follow the line of the front apron, and by a chromed ‘V12 Biturbo’ badge on each front fender. The rear apron is finished off by two sets of chrome twin tailpipes.
