Chery has showed its Omoda 4 compact SUV which is a renamed Omoda 3 – a last-minute model name change apparentrly designed to reinforce the new model’s interior space utility.

The car was shown at an event hosted by the Omoda brand parent Chery in Wuhu, China – the Chery International User Summit.

The car is being described as the next global model for the Omoda brand and will be sold with ICE, hybrid, PHEV and BEV powertrains.

The Omoda 4 has been confirmed for the European market and is likely to launch in the UK in the second half of 2026.

The car is described by Omoda as following a ‘cyber mecha’ design philosophy with a futuristic ‘mech inspired’ exterior.
