SmarTire Systems has announced the commercial availability of ‘SmarTire for Motorcycles’ and will deliver the first shipments to its U.S. distributors this week.

SmarTire for Motorcycles is an active tire pressure and temperature-monitoring system that provides real-time tyre information to the rider while the bike is in motion. At a push of the button, the SmarTire system displays each tyre’s pressure, temperature and pressure deviation. If the system detects a loss of air pressure or abnormally high tyre temperature, an ultra-bright warning light automatically alerts the rider to the condition.
“SmarTire incorporated industry-leading technology to meet the specific needs of the motorcycle market,” stated Erwin Bartz, Vice President of Business Development. “SmarTire for Motorcycles features an extremely compact receiver/display module, automatic calibration after installation, and easy to use rider interface. It can be easily installed on most major motorcycle brands at both the OEM or aftermarket levels.”
