General Motors of Canada recorded a whopping 21% year-on-year increase in sales last month compared with May 2001, and sold more trucks than in any other May in history, writes Monica Dobie.
DaimlerChrysler Canada reported a 12.3% increase in May vehicle sales, which was also due to a healthy (19.4%) increase in truck sales.
BMW and Mercedes-Benz recorded their single bestever Canadian monthly sales with BMW up 15% over May 2001. Toyota Canada also claimed a best-ever May with sales up 11.2%. Subaru Canada#;s May sales increased 5.2%.
