Construction has been completed on German owned Brose UK's new GBP35m factory in Coventry, England, which will supply Jaguar Land Rover.
The new factory will supply about 500,000 lightweight rear seat systems to JLR a year.
The mechatronic systems and electric motors specialist now employs 900 people and also supplies Nissan and Toyota.
The dedicated rear seating systems production line will be fully operational by the start of 2016 with the first composite seat components delivered to JLR soon after.
A new automated line removes the need to manually handle the larger rear seat systems during production.
The supplier received GBP3m from the UK government's Regional Growth Fund to help build the 11,400 sq m factory.
