Brose has developed its own AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) which generates artificial driving noises at speeds below 50km/h (30mph) and meets legislative requirements.

The mechatronics specialist said it drew on its expertise in acoustics and electronics including development of sound boxes for door modules.

The module’s wide frequency range of 200 to 5,000 hertz was said ti enable “high-quality driving noises and individual sound designs”.

Thanks to the use of innovative simulation tools, development was completed in just a few months.
