Brembo, the braking systems provider, has integrated VI-grade’s VI-CarRealTime vehicle simulation technology into its software development process.
This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the virtual development and testing of control software for braking systems, improving efficiency in the early stages of product development.
The company implemented VI-CarRealTime, a state-of-the-art real-time vehicle simulation platform provided by VI-grade, at its Brembo Coding Hublocated in Sunnyvale, California.
This technology is pivotal in Brembo’s quest to optimise the virtual testing of new control software functions.
VI-CarRealTime offers a high-fidelity simulation environment that enables Brembo’s engineers to conduct virtual tests on control logics before advancing to comprehensive on-vehicle testing.
This approach is instrumental in reducing the time spent on setting up new vehicle dynamics simulations and shortening the development cycles, thereby expediting the controls development process.

By GlobalDataVI-grade EMEA and North America vice president Sales Alessio Lombardi said: “VI-CarRealTime offers a single, customisable vehicle model for concept through sign-off, enabling rapid model configuration and seamless integration with third-party tools.
“It’s designed to speed up development cycles and improve collaboration across teams – a perfect fit for the agile and innovative environment of the Brembo Coding Hub.”
Brembo Coding Hub coordinator Alessandro Bertagna added:“The adoption of VI-CarRealTime enables us to develop and validate control logics in a virtual environment, significantly reducing time-to-test and supporting our goal of creating smarter, more responsive braking systems. We look forward to leveraging the tool’s full capabilities to enhance our control development workflow.”
