JCA Group, Scania’s biggest bus customer, has put an order for 143 buses for delivery before the end of August this year. The vehicles are coaches for long-distance and intercity operations at four of the companies within the group.

“This is one of the biggest bus deals in our history. This sale is significant for Scania, not only because of the large volume, but also because it confirms the strength of our brand within the JCA Group. The determining factor, besides the performance of the vehicles and the aftersales support, was the confidence in Scania’s delivery dates,” declares Wilson Pereira, director of sales of Scania buses in Brazil.

The vehicles are Scania K94 and K124 fitted with engines of  310, 360 or 420 hp. The majority of the buses will be running on the route Rio de Janeiro-São Paulo and the others in the southern and southeastern parts of the country.

JCA Group has about 1,750 Scania buses in its fleet.
