Renault has opened its first car design centre in Latin America as part of its efforts to boost sales in South America.

The new facility in Sao Paulo adds to an international network of other design units Renault already has in Paris, Barcelona, Seoul, Mumbai and Bucharest.
Patrick Le Quement, said the investment “will allow us to inject Latin American DNA into our projects.”
The facility will help adapt Renault vehicles to the local market, Renault said.
Renault hopes to sell 120,000 cars in Brazil this year, up from 74,000 in 2007.
