Canadian-based Magna International said it would open two new plants in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo in order to benefit from the strong growth that the region is experiencing.
Body and chassis unit, Cosma International, will open a plant in early 2011 while Magna’s seating division will provide seats for a planned General Motors model line at another plant. Magna will employ around 900 people at the two plants.
