Zhou Biren, vice-president of Chery, said that Tiggo is imported from Chery’s assembly plants in Uruguay and it has a price tag of US$25,000.


Zhou also said that Chery is planning to launch three types of vehicle onto the Brazilian market before the end of 2009, forecasting that in 2010, the four vehicle models can sell 10,000 units in the Brazilian market.


Chery has also announced plans to set up a new assembly plant in the Chaco Province, northern Argentina.
