BorgWarner said it was supplying engine timing chain drive systems for Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor (GAC Motor)'s Trumpchi brand's GS4 SUV turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol engine.
"Designed to reduce mass and friction for improved fuel economy, performance and engine efficiency, [our] next-generation inverted tooth silent chain helps GAC Motor meet current market demands," the supplier said in a statement. It claims this latest timing chain technology offers "best in class strength and durability as well as minimum noise, vibration and harshness".
