BorgWarner said Q3 2021 sales rose 35% year on year to $3,416m. Earnings were $0.40 per share, operating income $253m and adjusted operating income $311m.

BW said the acquisition of Delphi Technologies and increased demand for its own products “more than offset the decline in industry production”.

Net earnings for the third quarter 2021 were $96m, down from $111m/$0.53 per share in Q3 2020.

For full year 2021, sales are expected to be in the range of $14.4bn to $14.7bn,  a year on year increase of 8.5% to 11%.

Operating margin is expected between 7.9% and 8.7%.

Net earnings are forecast at $2.07 to $2.55 per share.
