Wabco has started supplying Iveco with its pneumatic anti-lock braking system (ABS version E8) integrated with electronic stability control ESCsmart to equip the lorry producer’s new Eurocargo Euro 6 medium-duty on-road trucks.
The company says it is the first time in the commercial vehicle industry these Wabco safety technologies are being adopted together in series production.
Announced in October 2011, Wabco entered into a multi-year supply agreement with Iveco to provide these technologies for series production in Europe starting in 2013.
