hub at Zeebrugge, Belgium.

The 10 million euro Vehicle Logistics Centre (VLC) employs 40 and covers a
total site area of 250,000m², with buildings totalling 2,500m², and
a 200,000m² storage capacity for up to 10,000 vehicles.
Zeebrugge was selected because of its excellent existing shipping, road and
rail transport connections.
The VLC will receive vehicles arriving by ship from the UK and Japan; serve
as the export location for some European countries for Yaris models built in
Toyotas nearby plant at Valenciennes in France; act as a central stock
location, and carry out post-production option installation, pre delivery inspection
and direct dealer delivery (DDD) for Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
The centre will also be the transit location for imports for France which will
be transported to Toyotas vehicle hub at Valenciennes.
Belgium is already home to TMMEs head office in Brussels and a technical,
training and accessory and service centre nearby. TMME also runs a 70,000m²
European parts centre at Diest, 30km east of Brussels, while Toyota Motor Europe
Manufacturing (TMEM), which supports and co-ordinates the companys European
manufacturing operations, is also located in the Belgian capital.
